Our Rooms
The location of the Chilkat Center is great for conferences and conventions being just steps away from some of the best art shops and restaurants in the area and a short walk to the main street of Haines.
WiFi is available throughout the building.
Auditorium
Seating capacity 260 persons. Presenters from around the globe have remarked on the exceptional live acoustics in this theater. It is equipped with state of the art sound and lighting systems, a portable dance floor and a Steinway grand piano.
Lobby
A very pleasant space with a fabulous view of the Lynn Canal and the Coastal Range beyond, the Lobby is used for a variety of special events. With a kitchen and concession area and a raised stage area, it is used for banquets, dinner theaters, parties, weddings, church services, conferences, exercise classes and even proms. Standing capacity is 175 and seating capacity is 86. It is equipped with a sound system, projector and large screen.
Dance Studio
The Dance Studio is a multi-purpose room. It has large windows overlooking the Lynn Canal, a mirrored wall and a sound system. It is used for various exercise and dance classes and is a good break-out room for meetings and conferences.
Rehearsal Room
The Rehearsal Room is in the basement under the stage. It has the same dimensions as the stage area and thus can be used for rehearsals instead of using the stage. It is good for private parties and serves as a break-out room for meetings and conferences.
Conference Room
The Conference Room can seat about 20 people, 10 around the conference table. It is equipped with a large TV monitor for zoom meetings and powerpoint presentations.
Backstage Rooms
Backstage Rooms include a Green Room, Scene Shop, 2 Dressing Rooms with bathrooms and showers, and a stage dressing room.

Production Package
From Waiting for Godot to Avenue Q, if you’re putting together a live theatre event from scratch and need rehearsal space and prop shop, this is a great choice. A Production Package can take you from a table read to opening night.
Film Package
From student films to Citizen Kane, a Film Package gives you access to our dedicated screening room and box office.

Pair your next networking opportunity with the Chilkat mountains and a unique venue.
